Mechanical Engineer - Columbus NE area
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with fabricating experience for a position in the Columbus Nebraska area. This person will be an integral part of maximizing efficiencies on the production line equipment, working as a team with operators to improve production.
Job duties:
Planning and designing manufacturing processes
Analyze layouts of equipment, workflow layouts, assembly methods, evaluating who plans and designs manufacturing processes, looks for improvements
Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials
Solicit input from machine operators, work as a team to increase efficiencies
Use of CNC and robotic equipment
Assist in managing capital projects and tooling requirements
Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or a manufacturing engineering experience and tooling background
Must have 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in fabricating
Must have strong continuous improvement focus
Experience with resource calculations, flow manufacturing, line design and process improvement. Must be able to read blue prints and schematicsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
